Michael is a professional licensed landscape architect, planner, and graphic illustrator specializing in design visualization and constructability for public, private, residential gardens, and urban landscapes.

Michael's works include designing and managing a wide range of award-winning projects in the San Francisco and Seattle markets. Projects include Amazon’s South Lake Union headquarters, Seattle Center Artist at Play Playground, West Edge Seattle condos, 200 Occidental Weyerhaeuser rooftop, and multiple custom residential landscapes along the west coast.

Shaunta Butler

Landscape Designer + Educator

Shaunta is a designer and educator. She grew up in Boise, ID, and holds degrees from Colorado State University and Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. She has exhibited, practiced, and taught in Europe, Asia, and North America. Her experience covers wide-ranging territory including k-12 design education, undergraduate + graduate curriculum design and instruction, art, creative strategy, trend forecasting, urban design, installations, fabrication, multimedia design, brand identity, film, videography, virtual reality, augmented immersive design, sustainable sites, and landscape architecture.

6B is a cross-disciplinary team that shares a passion for public spaces. The multi-disciplinary duo of Mike Brown and Shaunta Butler's practice focuses on design interventions that are grounded in their ecological, economic, and social context. Brown + Butler met in 2007 while landscape architecture students at Colorado State. Today they have 28 years of combined experience and a firm that focuses on positive change through sustainable design.
